Relationship Maps
New
Draw your own maps — A new Relationships tab under Entries opens a canvas where you place concepts, topics, and single memories, then connect them by hand — A concept is any name that groups things — a framework like "Tauri", a product line, a client — no memories required — Drag nodes in from the side panel, then drag dot-to-dot to connect them; dropping a connection on empty canvas even creates the new node right there — Label every connection — contains, part of, uses, depends on, built with, related to — or write your own, and flip its direction anytime — Rename nodes just for the map, and attach a "Note for AI" that AI tools read whenever they reach it — Tidy up arranges the whole map into clean left-to-right layers in one click
Ask your map before your AI does — The built-in question box shows exactly what an AI client would pull from your map and highlights the path it took to get there
Forgotten stays forgotten — Memories or topics you've forgotten or archived keep their place on the canvas, marked "Hidden from AI" — questions neither see them nor pass through them
Maps survive housekeeping — Merging two topics repoints the map to the winner, and deleting a memory removes its node without disturbing the rest
Connected AI clients can walk your maps — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, and Cline can now ask questions that start at a node you named and follow your connections to gather the memories that answer — Ask "software update in Tauri" and get what each Tauri app knows — even when an app's memories never mention the word Tauri — Reaches siblings through a shared parent, so projects you grouped answer together
AI clients can learn your structure — A companion tool lists every map as an outline, so they discover the names you gave things before asking
Search flags when a map can help — When a search result sits on one of your maps, the AI is told to follow the connections for the fuller picture
Included in portable export — Relationship maps ride along when you export the vault and restore cleanly on another machine; if both sides placed the same topic or memory, the connections merge instead of duplicating — Folder sync doesn't carry maps yet — use export and import to move them between devices for now
