Autopilot

New

  • The computer records the flow for you — a new Autopilot card on Record: describe the flow ("Create a project called Onboarding and invite one member"), pick a window or a display, press Start Autopilot, and the recording ends in the redaction review like any desktop recording (macOS)

  • Uses your own Anthropic key — Autopilot runs through the Anthropic API key and Claude model set in Settings, and says which model works when the one you picked cannot drive the computer

  • You stay in control — a countdown before the first action, Pause and Resume, Take over to drive yourself (your clicks become steps) and Hand back when you are done, and Needs you when the next thing it needs is a login, a code or a decision

  • Every step says why — each step keeps the computer's sentence about why it took it, shown in the review as Why the computer took this step, and the review names the brief and how the run ended under Recorded by Autopilot

  • Secrets stay out of the run — a brief that contains a password or key is refused, text that looks like one is never typed, and a password manager coming to the front ends the run

  • Said plainly on the card — Autopilot is the one source that sends screenshots off this machine: your model provider sees the chosen window or display every few seconds while the run is live, and nothing after Stop

  • Re-record by hand — on a desktop recording, any step in the redaction review can be recorded again with the hotkey recorder, and the new frames go in that step's place

  • Redo with Autopilot — or hand that one step back to the computer (macOS); the step being replaced is set aside rather than deleted, and the review opens on the new step

Improved

  • A supported engine underneath — the app now runs on Electron 44 (Chromium 152, Node 24); the release line it shipped on before no longer receives security fixes

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later is now required — the new engine does not run on older macOS, so Macs below 13 keep the version they have and are not offered this update; video and microphone narration in desktop recordings still need macOS 15

  • A locked-down app — the installed app can no longer be started as a plain script runner or with debugging and code-injection options, and it refuses to load app code that was changed after it was built; this keeps the Screen Recording, camera and microphone access you granted from being borrowed by anything else

  • Safer AI connections — requests to AI providers, including a custom OpenAI-compatible address, now go through the app's built-in Chromium network stack, so a compressed reply is never unpacked in the part of the app that holds your keys and library

  • Updated bundled components with the latest security fixes — the third-party libraries the app ships with move to releases that carry their published security fixes

  • Faster extension popup — the extension asks for the app on every port at once, so the popup no longer sits on Checking… for several seconds when the app is closed on Windows

  • Clearer platform labels — off a Mac, the auto recorder and Autopilot cards say macOS only for now instead of "not in this build"

  • Clearer redaction rule name — the key rule is labelled sk- API key for what it matches, instead of naming one vendor

Fixed

  • Fixed video exports with sound failing on Windows — Windows has no AAC encoder, so the soundtrack is now written as Opus there; the screen recorder export, the 3D World export and the guide video keep their sound, and Macs still get AAC

  • Fixed the first frame of an exported 3D Mockup film on Windows showing an empty lower-right corner — every frame now renders whole

  • Fixed a screen recording starting with a target it could not record on Windows and Linux — the recording is now refused before anything starts, instead of leaving a take running that nobody chose
