Watch a new design take shape before its first page exists

New

  • Watch the first build take shape. While a new design builds and there is nothing to preview yet, the preview area shows "Build so far": the files the agent wrote this run, newest first with their size and age, and the first lines of the latest file it wrote. A line above the list says whether the main page is not written yet, is still the template's starter, or is written and loading. Runs past five minutes add a note that long builds are normal for multi-screen designs.

  • See the design before its first page exists. Once the agent has saved stylesheets, "Design so far" appears beside the file list: the palette, typefaces and components such as buttons, cards, chips, inputs and toggles that those stylesheets define, drawn with the agent's own styles. It is labeled as a sample composed from the saved stylesheets, not a screen the agent wrote, and stays hidden until there is something to show.

Improved

  • Template sample content no longer stands in for your design. A new design keeps showing the build until the agent's own work lands, instead of flashing the template's sample content. This now covers editor-based design types such as Pixel Sprite, Diagram and Map, where the agent adds files rather than rewriting the main page. If a run ends without the agent making anything, the preview says so and names what is missing, such as the sprite or the diagram.

  • Pixel Sprite opens on the sprite being drawn. During a run the editor follows the newest sprite the agent wrote, rather than the sample sprite. It stays on a file you opened yourself and never switches away from unsaved edits.

Fixed

  • No false preview warnings before the first preview. Until a design has displayed once, the preview no longer shows "The update didn't answer in time", "Apply pending update" or the live strip, and it no longer tries to load a main page that does not exist yet.

  • Slow first previews get time to load. A heavy first page is no longer reloaded over and over while the agent keeps writing. Each retry waits longer before trying again.
