• Dissolves look like their style again. In most looks, a dissolve between scenes showed coarse dark blocks whatever the look asked for. Each look now uses its own dissolve: storybook looks tear a paper sheet across, print looks use a dot screen, pixel and flicker looks keep the grainy wipe, and the rest cross-dissolve.

• A soft dissolve is a true crossfade. The next scene now fades up through the last one, so both are on screen together at the cut, instead of the picture dipping through a flat colour.
