Generate in the background, 3D in the Playground, and a voice for every character

New

  • Generate in the background. Playground and Ink Studio generations run as background tasks, so you can start one, move to another workspace and find the result waiting. A badge in the title bar counts what is generating; open it to see each task's stage, frame count, elapsed time and a preview, cancel one, or jump back to the workspace it belongs to. Video generations report the provider's queue position and render progress as they go.

  • 3D in the Playground. A new 3D tab renders a prompt through the local Blender pipeline with no production open — a still or a clip of up to ten seconds, in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:3, at previz, draft or final quality. The built-in scene builder writes the scene from the prompt, or a detected coding agent can once agent runs are allowed in Settings. The card shows the framing sketch as soon as the scene is blocked, then each frame as Blender renders it, and the result is filed in Assets.

  • Ink pictures go to Assets and into videos. Pick finished Ink Studio pictures and save them to Assets — a PNG for a still, an MP4 when it moves — or pick them and choose Make a video to start a production with them as its assets. The picture redraws after every step while it is being made, and keeps drawing while you are in another workspace.

  • Every character speaks in their own voice. Dialogue in a 3D film is read turn by turn: each speaker gets a distinct system voice for the language when the Mac has several, and otherwise a persona of their own (pitch, pace and pitch range, read from how the story describes them), so a calm capybara and an excitable panda no longer share one narrator. Lines carry their feeling — shouts, questions, trailing thoughts, whispers, laughs and stage cues such as (cười) or (whispers) change the read — and turns inside a shot take their turn with a breath between them.

  • Ink shapes turn in place. A pivot is now the point in the node's own coordinates that it rotates and scales about, like CSS transform-origin, instead of the point moved onto x/y. Shapes rotated about a pivot no longer fly off toward the corner, and anime characters stand on their mark rather than hanging below it. The drawing agent is told when a pivot looks like it was written in canvas coordinates.

  • Sound beds last the whole scene. A Sound Studio bed plays from its cue to the cue's until point or length, or to the end of the cut, rendered at exactly that length with one fade in and out, instead of stopping after a dozen seconds mid-scene. A one-shot effect with an until is cut off there.

  • Titles fit in every language. When a template's display face cannot draw the text — Bebas Neue has no Vietnamese tone marks — the title is set in Lato and its card is laid out again in that face, so the headline no longer runs off the card.

  • Text results start a story. Picking a Playground text result for a new video puts its text into the production's story instead of attaching it as empty media.
